    Run without Internet

    Lynxari is on-premise installable software. It is not SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, or any other aaS. It happily runs on  remote systems where Internet connections are dodgy or non-existant. No outside interference is necessary. Even without an Internet connection, several peer servers can link together to form a private intranet.

    Run with Internet

    At the same time, Lynxari has many ways to take advantage of an Internet connection if and when it is available. A separate peer running on a cloud server can operate at the local level but with the horsepower of a high-end server. Authorized apps and programs can make requests to REST APIs. Local platform apps can publish their own APIs and also connect with external programs.

    Interoperable with other systems

    Publish any number and type of APIs. Platform apps can interface directly with other local or remote programs. Push data directly to and pull from a shared resource. Lynxari can work alongside other solutions already in place, and often times in harmony with these.

    Security is built-in, not bolted on

    All communications are encrypted using TLS. Authentication is required for all API requests and peer linkages. There is never a need for outside intervention, nor any requirement for data to traverse Agilatech’s or any 3rd-party server — you decide exactly where your data does and doesn’t go. Runs securely by default, with unsecured mode available for development by exception.

    Runs great on the edge

    Lynxari is installable on-premise software which runs without any need for outside servers. Because it does not require much CPU horsepower and has a small memory footprint, it runs well on inexpensive single-board computers. Local events can be responded to locally, with analysis and decisions made by local platform apps. Data analysis and intelligence apps can run right on the edge platform.

    Runs great in the cloud

    Link to peer Lynxari servers in the cloud to take advantage of faster CPUs and memory as well as larger storage. Conglomerate many edge peer instances into one cloud Lynxari peer. Use data manipulation and artificial intelligence results to send commands to peers running devices on the edge. All peer links will connect when the program is started, and will automatically reconnect after a connection failure.

    Interface with ANYTHING

    Connect any sensor or actuator using modular drivers. Create virtual devices from collections of hardware, or any data source (social feeds, weather forecasts, live polling, etc.) Hardware devices may be analog or digital, and connect via any means supported by the operating system (I2C, SPI, RS232/485, GPIO, PWM, Modbus, etc.)

    Flexible configuration and connections

    Runs on cheap computer boards as well as high-end servers. Link to any number of other peer Lynxari servers running anywhere. Accept links from any number of peer servers. Interface to any number of devices and run any number of platform apps (bounded only by hardware resources). Run applications on the platform itself, or interface with external applications. The platform configuration is controlled by JSON files which can easily be modified using the included Web-based tool.

    Built on node.js

    Lynxari can run anywhere node.js runs (which is most any operating system). Lynxari contains its own node runtime, so a separate installation of node.js is not necessary. Device drivers and platform apps can be written completely in Javascript. In addition to the language advantages, there are also hundreds of thousands of existing open-source modules and programs available for use in drivers and apps. Node also simplifies the writing of Web-based apps, micro-services, and publishing HTTP REST APIs. The inherently asynchronous and event-driven manner of node.js lends itself very well to Internet of Things systems.

    You pay a one-time single license fee for an installation, with no subscription fees, no transaction fees, absolutely no recurring fees at all. The license allows use of the product for an unlimited time, with all updates to the major version included. Pay for just the capabilities you need.
